\u201cNew Journeys\u201d<\/strong> encompasses a unique and compelling combination of musical traditions that have never been done before. Renowned classical composer Bruce Ruddell arranged and produced the songs which are sung in the Haida language, combining traditional sounds with world music instrumentation. \u201cNew Journeys<\/strong>\u201d showcases the melodic voice of Williams-Davidson embedded into a landscape of percussion, piano, guitar, and strings. The result is stirring.<\/p>\n

The broad vision for the\u00a0\u201cNew Journeys\u201d CD<\/a>\u00a0is to create music\u00a0that bridges two cultures and helps people of different backgrounds to connect with each other reflecting the current need in Canadian society to reach reconciliation with Canada\u2019s Aboriginal Peoples.<\/em><\/p>\n
