The Five Seasons<\/strong>, celebrates Earth\u2019s changing seasons\u2014Spring, Summer, Harvest, Fall, and Winter\u2014and mirrors the human experience from birth to death.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The Five Seasons<\/strong> is a full length concert work and accompanying film. The work is structured in five distinct movements. The performance features eight mixed voices and twelve instrumentalists. The repertoire includes literary texts spanning from 6th-century Chinese sources and Indigenous teachings to contemporary writings from across the globe.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The Five Seasons<\/strong> was inspired in part by the works of American conservationist, Rachel Carson<\/strong>, widely regarded as one of the most influential figures in launching the modern environmental movement. This from A Sense of Wonder..<\/strong><\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n\n\n\n

                     “Those who contemplate the beauty of the earth find reserves of strength that will endure as long as life lasts\u2026 There is something infinitely healing in the repeated refrains of nature – the assurance that dawn comes after night, and spring after winter.\u201d<\/em>        <\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n
